Mild Traumatic Brain Injury - Self Management Program

The Self Management Program is a time-limited, community based, rehabilitation program designed for clients with chronic mild brain injury symptoms. The intent of this program is to empower clients with the knowledge, skills, and habits to become “self managers” of their mild brain injury symptoms.  This program is designed to assist clients to improve their functioning in life activities, and to gain an improved sense of control and satisfaction in their lives.   Interventions focus on symptom education, the use of adaptive strategies, cognitive-reframing, functional problem solving, and weekly goal setting.  The theoretical framework of the program is based on Self-Efficacy theory.
